Roughly 10 years ago, it was the blog bluerobot.com that first used the term Flash Of Unstyled Content (FOUC). This described the appearance of a website before the loading of an external stylesheet. Using PHP to retrieve the Google Pagerank of any domain

Whilst working on a semi-automated directory submitter I wanted to automatically retrieve the Google Pagerank for those directories. After some searching and trying out different scripts I found one that was fast, efficient and didn’t drain the server’s resources. Continue reading →
